For UK financial advice firms
Drafts the paperwork. Checks the file. Finds the business you already had.
The Advice Engine drafts, checks and organises the documents your firm produces every day — in your brand, from your own client files. Built inside a regulated UK advice firm and used on real cases every day.
Four facts about a fictitious client in, a full specimen report out — through the real pipeline, before any live case goes near it.
Source — annual review meeting transcript, 14 Mar 2026
“…and there's the little pension from the Marconi days, I've honestly never touched it, I couldn't tell you what's in it.”
Raised by the client in March, not recorded on the file and not carried into the review outcome. No letter of authority on record for this provider.
Add to the agenda for the next meeting. An LOA and provider information request can be drafted from this file.
What it does
Twelve workflows, from first meeting to annual review
All of them included, for every adviser, paraplanner and administrator in the firm. No per-seat maths.
Draft
Documents produced from your case pack, in your firm's own stylingSuitability reports
Full and shortened advice processes across 19 case types, drafted from your case pack and checked against the compliance framework before you ever see them.
Annual advice meetings
Pre-meeting briefing and the complete post-meeting pack, with the allowances position — ISA, pension, CGT, dividend — evidenced per client.
First-meeting packs
Briefings before, follow-up packs after: agenda, introduction report, disclosure summary and initial fact find, clearly flagged as pre-advice.
Check
A second pair of eyes before anything leaves the firmCompliance check
Reviews an existing report the way a file checker would: grade, commentary and a completed checklist. It flags gaps; it never certifies anything.
Financial promotions
Pre-vets marketing material, web pages and stationery before submission to your network's approval team, cutting resubmission round trips. It never approves.
Find
What is already sitting in the files you holdAdvice gap scanner
Reads a client's own file — meeting transcripts especially — and surfaces needs that were raised but never actioned, quoting the file verbatim.
Client facts extract
Turns a case pack into a source-attributed update sheet: every fact carries its document and a confirmed, estimated or unclear status.
Organise
The administrative work around the adviceFee and authority paperwork
Fee authority forms pre-filled from your own terms of business, and letters of authority with one information request per provider, validated before download.
One front door
Not sure which workflow you need? Put the file in with a line of context. The engine picks, tells you why it picked, and lets you overrule it in one click.
Protection tools
A whole-of-life ready-reckoner and an IHT cover affordability calculator, both indicative and clearly labelled as not advice.
What comes out
A finished document in your firm's own styling
Not a chat window and not a wall of text to tidy up afterwards. Every workflow produces a branded Word document, laid out the way your firm lays it out, with your logo, your regulatory footer and your approved wording.
Alongside it comes an adviser QA sheet: what the engine relied on, what it could not evidence, and every point it wants you to look at before you sign. Anything it could not find in the file is flagged in the margin rather than quietly invented.
If your network expects a particular house template, the engine can produce in that styling too.
The difference
Everyone else sells you time. We can also show you revenue.
Every AI tool in this market is sold on hours saved. Useful — and hard to put in front of a board. The advice gap scanner does something different: it reads the files you already hold and finds the needs that were raised and never actioned.
Open promises. Assets mentioned once in a meeting and never traced. Exposures that only appear when two facts on the file are read together. Conflicting signals between what a client said and what the file records.
It quotes the file word for word, and every quote is verified in code against the source document — anything unverified is tagged and demoted, never quietly dropped. What comes out is a prioritised agenda for your next conversation, with a tracking sheet. It is not advice, and it is not a review of past advice.
The richest source by far — clients say things in meetings that never reach the file.
Fact finds, previous reports, review notes, correspondence, provider paperwork.
Pick files straight from your firm's SharePoint with your own Microsoft sign-in, or upload them.
Why firms pick it
Built by advisers who file the same paperwork you do
The Advice Engine is not a technology company's guess at what advice work looks like. It is built inside Ginkgo Financial, a regulated UK advice firm, and shaped every week by the advisers, paraplanners and administrators using it on real cases.
When a network reviewer wants something evidenced differently, the engine learns it — and every firm on the engine gets that improvement. It is white-label from the ground up: your logo, your document styling, your fee schedule, your approved wording and your regulatory details, read from your firm's own configuration and never from another firm's.
The discipline that makes it safe
Every output is a draft until a named adviser signs it off.
It never gives advice, never approves a financial promotion and never marks a file compliant.
It never invents missing client data. Gaps are flagged, not filled.
It never writes to your systems. Nothing changes in your back office without a person doing it.
These are not settings that can be switched off. They are built into every workflow and enforced in code.
How it works
Four steps, with the adviser in control throughout
Give it the case
Upload documents, paste a transcript, or pick files straight from your firm's own client library using your Microsoft sign-in.
It drafts and data-checks
The engine reviews the material for gaps and inconsistencies first, then drafts against your firm's standards.
It checks its own work
Every draft is graded against the compliance framework and revised before it reaches you, with the working shown.
You review and sign off
Documents arrive as branded Word files with an adviser QA sheet. Nothing goes near a client without a named adviser's approval.
Pricing
One price for the firm. Every workflow, every seat.
Most tools in this market charge per adviser, per month, per module — and won't tell you the number until you've had a call. We would rather you could just work it out.
Typical firm · up to 5 advisers
Larger firms are banded. Ask us for the band that fits — we will tell you the number on the first call.
For comparison
Priced per adviser, a single tool for suitability reports alone is commonly around £299 per user per month. At five advisers, the Advice Engine works out at roughly £199 per adviser for all twelve workflows. At twenty advisers it is a fraction of that, because the price is set for the firm and not the seat.
No per-document charges. No per-module upsell. No charge for the people in your back office who do most of the work.
Security and governance
Built for firms that answer to a network
Most tools in this category need to hold your client data to work. This one does not, which makes your data protection impact assessment a considerably shorter conversation.
